"Healthy Voice Toastmasters has enriched my life both professionally & socially. I have met some of the most talented, positively motivated people and have been inspired to soar. Over the past two years, I have grown in the area of leadership and finally overcame my fears of public speaking." |

"Toastmasters has provided the forum for me to control my anxiety and take control of the challenges of public speaking. I have incorporated quiet a few of the skills I have acquired, as well as the immediate feedback, in my personal and professional life. Participating in the various club roles and contests has strengthened my confidence. I feel I am better able to articulate my messages and add impact to my presentations. My listening skills have improved tremendously and so are the evaluations I conduct. I truly credit Toastmasters for getting me over this hurdle and continuing to help me everyday. My recommendation to anyone who is contemplating joining Toastmasters, but still has reservations about their ability to succeed, is to try it. You will be amazed on how much you will learn within a very short timeframe."

"Just feel good in knowing that as a "head injured survivor", I have used Healthy Voice to restore my voice. It has been restored by organizing my thought process and by listening very closely to other people speak. Being succinct in conversation is critical in restoration of ones speech language. I have used Toastmasters successfully in the last "6-month's" to become less egocentric and a better listener with my teenage young adult children. Applying what you learn in Toastmasters in life is key."

"Toastmasters has helped me tremendously! My confidence has greatly improved and my fear of speaking in front of a group has declined. I'm still nervous and reserved about speaking, but nothing like I used to be. I've learned that Toastmasters is like anything else . . . the more you participate, the better you become."

"I was a computer programmer when I attended my first Toastmasters meeting. Feedback I received on my Icebreaker speech helped me rephrase a request I'd made for a better assignment. I'd been turned down the first time, but I was awarded the project after I made my "new and improved" presentation. A year or two later, I learned management skills by holding various club offices. After serving just one year as club president, I made my first break into management - complete with a 35% salary increase. Today I am an Assistant Vice President for a publicly held insurance company with annual revenues of $350M. I credit Toastmasters with every promotion I received along the way, and for continuing to help me every day. Success depends so much on the ability to listen, evaluate, communicate, and persuade. If you are thinking about joining but haven't yet decided, I encourage you to give it a six month trial. You may be surprised at the speed with which your life changes when you take the time to develop your confidence through Toastmasters!"

"The benefits I've received far outweigh what I expected. I speak at almost every meeting in some capacity. I still get nervous but hopefully it doesn't show as much as it did. Being an officer has certainly given me more confidence in my speaking and in myself. I enjoy the friendships I have made at Toastmasters. I associate with people I would not have even known. I encourage everyone to get involved in some capacity, as an officer, or just get to know the other members of our club."

"I've been a member just over a year and I'm enjoying every minute of it. I find myself more comfortable trying new ideas, humor and variety when I speak. As an added bonus, I have developed friendships over the past year that I wasn't counting on when I joined. Having strong support, valuable constructive criticism, and a venue to try out new ideas and potentially fail (which is an important part of growing) is absolutely invaluable."

"Toastmasters has helped me feel more comfortable speaking in front of others as well as initiating conversation in social settings. In my 22 months as a Toastmaster, I have learned a lot through the evaluation process, not only from my mistakes, but the mistakes of others. I feel that my experience as a Toastmaster has been extremely beneficial both professionally and personally."

"I have been quite surprised at how helpful the whole experience has been. I have become a much better speaker thanks to the practice and the group's constructive feedback. I thought I was a polished speaker already and didn't expect to improve that much. Boy, have I been surprised by my growth and I look forward to getting even better."
